Safety & Medical
By Gobabies.com

  • London does not have laws insisting on making facilities handicap accessible. Without ramps you'll be going up more stairs with baby. Be prepared!

  • Many museums have lots of stairs and no elevators. Get plenty of sleep the night before!

  • Check-ins at museums and other facilities do not often accept bags (like diaper bags) given the fear of terrorism so you'll need to keep it with you.

  • Few establishments have no smoking areas. Smoking is allowed on the double-decker busses.

  • Cabs (like in the U.S.) do not include baby car seats.

  • Parks are very child friendly

  • Many rest rooms include Mothers' Rooms for breast feeding and diaper changing

  • Check with your insurance company up front to see what is and is not covered in case of an emergency. Many travelers are leary about England's National Health Plan. There is an American Hospital in Paris and Americans who get very sick often go there.
